Patrick Acosta was arrested Tuesday after punching a female victim in the face repeatedly, causing her eyes to swell shut. He then hit the victim on top of her head with a handgun. Deputies responded to his Spoonflower Circle address in Wesley Chapel where he was taken into custody. Acosta, 22, was also found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Bradford County.
Acosta, who is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and a failure to appear warrant, remains in the Land O’ Lakes Detention Center with a $110,000 bond.
