PSO Taking Down Suspected Drug Dealers

Pasco Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics detectives made two separate arrests last week on suspected drug dealers.

On Dec. 4, Jamie Byrd, 40, 37211 Tait Avenue in Dade City, was arrested after a traffic stop and short pursuit. He fled his vehicle and tried to dispose of a large quantity of methamphetamine by throwing the narcotics in a field. The total weight was 315 grams. He was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, resisting officer without violence, and tampering with evidence. View the arrest details, click here.

On Dec. 5, detectives arrested Brian Green, 40, 5232 Marine Parkway, New Port Richey, after a search warrant was issued at his residence and deputies found 28 labeled packages of spice which weighed about 307 grams. Fourteen additional unlabeled spice bags were also located that were ready for distribution, for a total of 365 grams of spice. The suspect stated he was selling spice from his residence. Green was charged with possession of controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a public nuisance house.
