Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a New Port Richey man after he was accused of stabbing his father with a knife following an argument about watching television.

About 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Michael Parker, 21, began arguing with his father about watching television inside of their Teak Street home. During the argument, Parker armed himself with a large knife and stabbed his father in the neck. This caused a 2-inch laceration, which was treated at a local hospital with stitches. Parker was arrested and charged with domestic aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He remains in the Land O’ Lakes Detention Center with no bond.
