Pasco Sheriff’s detectives from the Economic Crimes Unit arrested Carmelo John Neider, 30, on four counts of acting as an unlicensed real estate broker, two counts of a notary falsely certifying any instrument, and two counts of unlawfully filing false documents.
Neider is accused of filing quit claim deeds on foreclosed properties in Pasco County, unbeknownst to the actual owners, and then either selling the homes or trying to rent the homes. He allegedly forged the owners names on the deeds, and used fictitious names as witnesses and filing personnel.
He was booked into the Land O’ Lakes Detention Center on $40,000 bond total for the eight charges.
