Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested – $300,000 Bond!

Derek Stephen Jordan, wanted for a July 2014 bank robbery in Land O’ Lakes, was arrested Feb. 5 in Martin County. Jordan, 35, entered Mid Florida Credit Union, 2255 Collier Parkway, at 10 a.m. on July 18, pulled a handgun from a backpack and demanded money. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and sped away in a gray, Honda CRV.
On Feb. 5 around 11 p.m., a Florida Fish and Wildlife officer spotted Jordan walking along SW Martin Highway and asked if he needed help. Once his identity was confirmed, Jordan was arrested and transported to the Martin County Jail.
Jordan, of Land O’ Lakes, was extradited to Pasco County on Monday and is held in the Land O’ Lakes Detention Center with a $300,000 bond. He is charged with robbery with a deadly weapon and kidnapping.
