Pasco Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a suspect in the first butane hash oil (BHO) or marijuana wax explosion in Pasco County.
On Sept. 3, Steven Brown, DOB 06/26/1992, Port Richey, and other accomplices blew up his house during the manufacturing attempt of BHO. In the ensuing fire that burned his house down, Brown made the decision to grab his drugs and get out of the house, instead of trying to save two caged dogs, who perished in the fire. In addition, a 1-year-old was in the house at the time, but luckily was not injured. The location of the fire was 6210 Westport Drive in Port Richey.
On Sept. 9, direct file warrants were issued for the arrest of Brown. On the same day, Brown fled from a traffic stop. Steven Brown has 12 active warrants for his arrest, which include (1) Possession of a Place for Purposes of Manufacturing a Controlled Substance, (2) Arson in the first degree, (3) Felonious Possession of a Firearm, (4) Possession of Cocaine, (5) Possession of Suboxone, (6) Possession of Oxycodone, (7) Tampering with Physical Evidence, (8) Manufacture of Marijuana, (9) Possession of Marijuana with intent to sell, (10-11) Aggravated Cruelty to Animals (2 counts) and (12) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia).
Brown should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Brown should call 911 immediately.
