In Pasco County Florida, a J.W. Mitchell High School science teacher has been placed on administrative leave. She is facing allegations of providing alcohol to underage students at a prom party. Samantha Murchie was placed on leave as a result of the investigation.
A representative with of the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office says Murchie provided alcohol to students at a prom party she attended, where there were around thirty students. He says the party started at a former JW High teachers house and was broken up when a neighbor complained, the party then moved to Murchie’s home.
Charges have been referred to the State Attorney’s Office.
