The Pasco Sheriff’s Office has released the following information:
Matthew Aaron Bondi, who served as a deputy in Pasco County for less than a year, was arrested in Broward County Wednesday morning.
Due to Bondi’s probationary status with the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, he has been terminated.
Information on the pending charges will be handled by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.
Preliminary information reveals Bondi, 22, traveled to South Florida to meet a juvenile male. Law enforcement was made aware and Bondi was arrested for suspicion of enticing a minor, although formal charges have yet to be given.
“Due to this former member’s actions, he has been released from probation,” Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco said. “We hold ourselves accountable for our actions.”
