Officer Carlos Xavier Lopez charged with SEXUAL BATTERY BY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER and held on a $50,000 bond.
According to the arrest report Officer Carlos Xavier Lopez of Land O’ lakes was on duty and and in full uniform when he responded to a call of service on Halloween. The victim, a 44-year-old woman told the authorities that Lopez walked entered her garage, acted flirtatious, and then grabbed / pulled her toward his body. He then pursued her into the bedroom, she then tried to escape. Investigators say the woman complied with Lopez’s because she feared if she did not comply that he might have harmed her.
Lopez has admitted to the allegations and claims, “If you didn’t have your family in the house I would have taken your clothes off and (expletive) right there.”
In 2012 Lopez was involved in a head on collision while on duty resulting in the death of a 68-year-old New Port Richey man.
This man who is supposed to protect us, instead betrayed us. We are not able to show his mugshot because it was not released on PCSO public portal, but everyone’s was that day. What do you think… is this double standard?
